About

About the Vishwakarma Puja with Pandit Ji

If you run a workshop, factory or studio, the day of Vishwakarma Puja comes with a lot to arrange: cleaning the machinery, setting up the tools and organising the team. A pandit leads the puja, so you can focus on your people and your work.

Vishwakarma is regarded in tradition as the architect and craftsman of the gods. Many communities of craftspeople, engineers and workshop owners worship Vishwakarma and their tools, often on Kanya Sankranti in September, though some regions mark it on other days.

Owners of workshops, factories and studios; engineers, mechanics and craftspeople; shops with tools or equipment; teams who want to mark the day together.

Many families and workplaces observe it around mid-September, on Kanya Sankranti, but regional dates vary. Your pandit can confirm the date and a muhurat. Follow your family's or community's custom.

About 1 hour for the standard ceremony; about 1.5 hours for the extended one.

Choose the standard for a small workplace or team. Choose the extended ceremony if you have more machinery, tools or a larger team.

Choose 'With samagri' and the pandit brings the ritual items. Choose 'Own samagri' if you already have them or prefer to buy them yourself, and ask the pandit for the list in advance.

Vishwakarma Puja is best done with the pandit present in person, so video is not offered for it.

The owner, the team and the staff. Everyone is welcome for the aarti and prasad.

Vishwakarma Puja differs by region, including the date, the offerings and whether machinery is worshipped. Tell us your tradition and workplace type when booking.

The puja involves tools and machinery, and often a diya or camphor. Make sure machines are switched off and unplugged, keep flames away from oil, fuel and flammable materials, and keep the team clear of heavy equipment during the puja.

When is Vishwakarma Puja? Often around mid-September, on Kanya Sankranti, though dates vary by region. Your pandit can confirm.

How long should I plan for? About 1 hour for the standard ceremony and about 1.5 hours for the extended one.

Does the pandit need to be at the workplace? Yes. The ritual involves worship of tools and machinery, so video is not offered.

Can it be done at home? Yes, for small tools or a home studio. Tell the pandit what you will be worshipping.
