Sending Diwali to someone you love?

Add gift wrap and a handwritten note at checkout. A complete Pooja, delivered, is a thoughtful gift for a new home or a first Diwali away from family.

Diwali week is busy. Your Pooja shouldn't add to it.

Between cleaning, cooking, guests and gifts, the Lakshmi–Ganesh Pooja is the one thing that has to be right on the evening. Idols, diyas, oil, ghee, offerings, a thali, a kalash: it's a long list, and it's easy to miss one item.

This kit gathers everything for the Pooja in one box, so on Diwali evening you light the lamps and begin. Just bring your faith and devotion.

Safety first

  • Keep flames away from children, pets, curtains and loose clothing.
  • Never leave a lit lamp unattended.
  • Keep a small bowl of water nearby.

  • Follow your building's rules about open flames.

Small things that make it easier

  1. 01

You don't need to know every mantra. The chanting booklet is there for you to read from.

  2. 02

Set everything out before you begin, so you aren't getting up mid-Pooja.

  3. 03

Light the lamps in the order the guide suggests, and keep the matchbox beside you.

  4. 04

Every household does this a little differently. If your family has its own way, follow it.

Know your ritual

The ritual, in order

Diwali is the night families invite blessings home. Make sure the Pooja is complete.

The same steps are printed on the card inside — written to inform, never to prescribe.

  1. 01

    Sankalp

Settle in and state your intention.

  2. 02

    Ganesh invocation

    Begin by welcoming Ganesh.

  3. 03

    Kalash sthapana

Place the kalash with water and Ganga Jal.

  4. 04

    Lakshmi Pooja

Offer roli, kumkum, flowers and lotus seeds.

  5. 05

    Diya and dhoop

    Light the lamps and incense.

  6. 06

    Aarti

Sing or read the aarti with the family.

  7. 07

    Prasad

Offer mishri, honey, kheel and patashe, then share.

Ritual language

Words you'll meet in the guide

Sankalp
A short statement of intention before the Pooja begins.
Kalash
A pot of water, often with leaves and a coconut, placed as the centre of the Pooja.
Akshat
Unbroken rice used in offerings.
Roli and kumkum
Red powders used for tilak and offerings.
Moli
The red-yellow sacred thread.
Muhurat
The auspicious window for the Pooja.
Prasad
The offering shared after the Pooja.

After the ritual

  1. 01

Let diyas cool, then collect the oil and wick remains.

  2. 02

Place flowers and leaves in soil, not a drain or waste bin.

  3. 03

Keep the brass and copper pieces for next year.

  4. 04

Immerse the clay idols as your family does, or keep them in the mandir.

  5. 05

Save the printed guide for next Diwali.

Where it comes from

Made by four workshops, not a factory

Clay from Khurja, brass from Moradabad, cotton from Erode, and a small studio in Delhi that prints the guides. Repeat orders, fair rates, and the same hands each season.

Clay diyas, brass pooja items, cotton wicks and a printed guide card on ivory linen
