Terms

The agreement, without the fog

Written to be read once and understood. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we'll explain rather than point at a clause.

Who you're buying from

This store is operated by Vedic Rituals, based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Placing an order means you accept these terms as they read on the day you order.

Orders and acceptance

An order is a request until we confirm it by email. We may decline an order if a kit has sold out, if the address falls outside our serviceable pincodes, or if we cannot make the festival date — in every such case we refund in full.

You can change or cancel an order until it is assembled, which is usually within 24 hours of ordering.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes. Shipping is shown at checkout and is free above ₹1,499.

We may change prices at any time, but never for an order already confirmed.

What's inside a kit

Kits are assembled by hand from natural materials. Clay, brass finish, cotton and dried botanicals vary in colour, grain and weight between batches — that variation is not a defect.

Where a listed component becomes unavailable, we substitute one of equal or greater value and tell you before dispatch.

Delivery, damage and returns

Delivery timelines are estimates from dispatch, not guarantees, and courier delays are outside our control. Our shipping and returns page sets out the full policy, and it forms part of these terms.

Report damage with a photo within 72 hours of delivery and we replace or refund that component.

Using the kits

Kits contain lamps, oil, camphor and incense — open flame items. Keep them away from children, curtains and anything flammable, and never leave a lit lamp unattended. We are not liable for damage or injury from unsupervised use.

Consumables are not food. Nothing in a kit is intended for eating unless the packaging says so.

Our content

The photographs, ritual guides, essays and designs on this site belong to us. Read them, quote them with credit, but don't reproduce them commercially without asking.

Ritual guidance is offered as cultural context, not religious instruction. Households differ, and yours is the version that counts.

Liability and law

Where the law allows us to limit liability, it is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts of Pune have jurisdiction over any dispute.
