Question 1

When should I order before a festival?

Accepted Answer

Order a week or so ahead and it reaches you in time almost everywhere in India. Kits dispatch in 48 hours and arrive in about 3 days.

Question 2

Can I customise a kit?

Accepted Answer

Each kit has one considered base set. On its page, you can select optional add-ons such as a brass thali, diya, idol or havan kund before adding everything to your tray.

Question 3

Can I change or cancel an order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, until it's assembled — usually 24 hours after you order. Write to support@thevedicrituals.com with your order number and we'll sort it.

Question 4

Do you take cash on delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes, alongside UPI, cards and net banking. COD is available on orders under ₹5,000.

Question 5

Is everything I need inside, or do I add things?

Accepted Answer

Each kit page lists both — what's in the box and what to bring from home. Fresh items like fruit, milk and flowers we deliberately leave to you, because fresh beats shipped.

Question 6

What if my family keeps the ritual differently?

Accepted Answer

Most do. The guide explains what each step means and where it came from rather than issuing instructions, so you keep the parts you grew up with and skip the rest.

Question 7

Are the idols and diyas eco-friendly?

Accepted Answer

The clay pieces are unfired natural clay and dissolve in a bucket of water at home — pour it into your plants afterwards. The thali and bell are made to be kept and reused for years.

Question 8

Is there plastic in the packing?

Accepted Answer

No. Paper shred, cotton bags, glass jars, kraft board and a paper tape seal. Nothing in the box exists only to make it look fuller.

Question 9

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Dispatch within 48 hours of assembly, then 3–5 working days for metros and 5–7 for the rest of India. Tracking reaches you by email and SMS.

Question 10

Something arrived broken. What now?

Accepted Answer

Send a photo within 72 hours and we ship a replacement of that component at no cost, or refund it — your choice. Clay travels well but not perfectly.

Question 11

Can I return a kit I haven't opened?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within 7 days of delivery, unopened and with the seal intact. Consumables that have been opened can't be returned for hygiene reasons.

Question 12

Do you ship outside India?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We ship to the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia. International shipping charges are calculated at checkout, and free shipping above ₹2,000 applies to orders within India only. Delivery times abroad depend on the destination and customs.

Question 13

Can I send a kit to someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add a note at checkout and we'll write it out on a card and tuck it under the lid. No invoice goes in a gift box.

Question 14

Do you do corporate orders?

Accepted Answer

We do 25 kits and upwards with your card, ribbon and dispatch list. Tell us the count and the date on the gifting page and we'll come back with timelines.

Everything people ask us, answered plainly.
