About the Rahu Dosh Nivaran Puja with Pandit Ji

A long graha shanti ritual is a big undertaking: four pandits, a very long list of items and several hours of recitation. We handle the coordination, so you can take part without managing every detail.

Rahu is one of the nine grahas in Vedic astrology. A Rahu shanti is a traditional ritual with prayers, a lengthy mantra recitation, a havan and daan. Many families choose it when their astrologer suggests it. It is a traditional practice, not a guaranteed remedy.

Families whose astrologer has suggested a Rahu shanti; people who want a fuller graha ritual at home; households who follow the practice as a family custom.

Timing is usually chosen from the chart and the panchang, and some families prefer a Saturday or a particular tithi. Please ask your astrologer. The pandit can suggest muhurat options, and your family's custom takes priority.

About 4 hours for the standard ceremony; about 6 hours for the extended one

If your astrologer has not specified a format, start with the standard. If a larger recitation or a fuller vidhi was advised, choose the extended.

Choose 'With samagri' and the pandit brings the ritual items. Choose 'Own samagri' if you already have them or prefer to buy them yourself. With a long vidhi, the list is long, so ask the pandit for the list early if you arrange items yourself.

How long should I plan for? About 4 hours for the standard ceremony and about 6 hours for the extended one, plus setup.

Does this ritual remove a Rahu dosh? We cannot promise any outcome. It is a traditional ritual families choose; please ask your astrologer about your chart.

Why are four pandits needed? The long recitation is shared among them. The pandit can explain how it is divided.
