About

About the Hanuman Aaradhana with Pandit Ji

Many families want to do a proper Hanuman pooja but are unsure about the order, the offerings and the recitations. A pandit takes charge of the vidhi so you can sit and take part without worrying about getting it right.

Hanuman is revered across India as a figure of devotion, strength and service to Rama. Many families offer prayers to him on Tuesdays and Saturdays, on Hanuman Jayanti, or when beginning something new. The pooja often includes recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa.

Devotees of Hanuman who want a home pooja; families marking Hanuman Jayanti or a Tuesday or Saturday observance; people starting a new venture or a new home and wanting a Hanuman pooja as part of it.

Many families choose a Tuesday or Saturday, or Hanuman Jayanti, usually in the morning or evening. The pandit can suggest a muhurat on request, and your family's custom takes priority.

About 1.5 hours for the standard ceremony; about 2 hours for the extended one.

If you want a shorter pooja and a smaller gathering, start with the standard. If you want more recitation and a fuller vidhi, choose the extended pooja.

Choose 'With samagri' and the pandit brings the ritual items. Choose 'Own samagri' if you already have them or prefer to arrange them yourself; the pandit can share the list in advance.

The household and anyone who would like to join. Families often invite relatives and neighbours for the Chalisa and aarti.

Offerings, mantras and the recitations chosen differ by family and region, and some households follow specific Tuesday or Saturday customs. Tell us your tradition when booking.

A lit diya or lamp is part of the ritual. Keep it on a stable heat-safe surface, away from curtains, children and pets.

Is it only for Tuesdays or Saturdays? Many families choose those days, but you can book on any day that suits you. Your family's custom takes priority.

Is the Hanuman Chalisa included? Many families include it, and the pandit can recite it with you. Share your preference when booking.

How long should I plan for? About 1.5 hours for the standard pooja and about 2 hours for the extended one.

Can we do it on video? Yes, a live video pooja works well. The pandit leads and you follow along at home with the image, lamp and flowers.
