Hari elaichi for pooja is a small thing that quietly completes many an offering basket, and this 10 g pack of whole green cardamom pods keeps it ready. Many families keep green cardamom for pooja offerings, hawan samagri and prasad, and on katha and festival days. Because the pack is small, it is easy to keep in the pooja box and replace when a festival comes around.
Keep the pack closed until you are ready to begin. Offer whole pods or add them to prasad as your family tradition advises. Some households traditionally associate cardamom with Lord Vishnu, while others offer it more simply as part of the thali, so there is no single way. Elaichi for hawan is typically added with the other samagri, as your pandit guides.
Pods vary in size and shade, as natural things do, and traditions about what is offered to which deity differ from family to family. Reseal the pack after every use to keep the aroma. You get one pack of 10 g green cardamom (hari elaichi), supplied for ritual use and offering. The ritual is yours. The preparation is ours.
